Bill is like a super athlete-he’s building two or three houses at a time, but he’s so focused time “slows down” for him so he just knocks it right out of the park!

My wife and I purchased a piece of property a few years ago right across the street from the house we lived in, with plans to build our ideal home on the land. This offered us a once in a lifetime opportunity to build the house we wanted and not have to uproot our children from their friends and schools.

The land is hilly and features a 250- foot elevation change. It gave us the perfect chance to pay homage to our West Virginia, Colorado and North Carolina roots.  I designed the home personally and Bill was very open to our ideas and also presented his views and concepts. On the two or three things we didn’t take his advice on we wish we had!

Bill gave us a very high level of comfort throughout the project. He stayed out in front of the next steps and was very methodical so there were no surprises.

It was the same with the billing process. We received monthly summaries that were tied back to each quote, which contributed to our confidence in Bill’s entire approach.

Our home turned out beautifully and our family is very well pleased. One thing my kids really love is the Poplar bark siding that makes it feel like a tree house.

I think one of the most important things to know about Bill is that he is very credible and easy to work with.  Our experience with him was uneventful—in the best possible way. No drama or hassle at all.

Initially, my wife and I were thinking that we would do a re-model on our existing home. One of our friends suggested that we might find some good design ideas by driving through the Dunblane subdivision where Bill happened to be building a spec house.

When we walked in the door the very first time, we were so impressed with the home that we immediately abandoned our re-modeling plan. Instead, three days later we met with Bill to make an offer on it.

The subdivision is very small, only 16 houses total. The other 15 were built by a different builder, so our house, while it fits beautifully into the surrounding neighborhood, looks a bit different than the others, which we like.

It’s a French Country style, with about 4600 square feet and a three -car garage. Because it wasn’t yet completed we had the latitude to change some of the design features to better accommodate our casual lifestyle. We added a pedestrian door, real windows in the garage to let in light and installed French doors in a cased opening in the dining room to allow for privacy in our office.

The distressed, farmhouse style hardwood flooring is phenomenal. We also love the stone wall in the family room and the impressive entry way. Really, the house is just exquisite.

I think one of the things that we like best is the “wow” factor when people first come inside. WOW! is pretty much everyone’s reaction the first time they walk in the door. That “wow” factor is all Bill.

We would absolutely use Bill again! The house we built with him was a spec house that was perfectly situated on the lot. As a spec house, we were able to add our own touches and features, and Bill actively contributed in bringing us ideas that met our personal needs.

The house is a modern country style and is just outstanding. The flow from the entry into the kitchen and family area is just perfect. We love the hardwood flooring and are very happy with how he laid out the kitchen and appliances to make it easy to navigate and very enjoyable to cook and entertain in.

Bill is extremely easy to work with throughout the process and is very responsive even after the job is completed.  We would definitely use him again!
